Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 10 September 2026 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located over western Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Friday departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT Friday approaching trough located over the Quebec
Lower North Shore.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located southeast of the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NDT 10 September 2026 A trough of low pressure over Western Newfoundland will move across
the island tonight and move to lie east of the Grand Banks Friday
evening before departing. A second trough will approach the district
from the northwest Friday evening.

Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of the first trough will veer
to strong southwesterlies in its wake. Strong to gale force
westerlies will develop ahead of the second trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf - Port au Port, and Belle
Isle Bank.
