Issued 10:00 AM NST 6 January 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today weakening low 962 mb located over eastern
Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 979 mb located over the East Coast
of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:48 AM NST 6 January 2025 A weakening low pressure system will remain nearly stationary over
Eastern Newfoundland throughout today and will continue to weaken
throughout the forecast period. Gale to storm force easterlies to
northerlies will persist north of the low. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies to southwesterlies will persist south of the low.
Winds will begin to diminish today and tonight as the low weakens.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except South Coast.
