Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NDT 12 October 2026 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 995 mb located over Funk
Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing low 992 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 997 mb located south of
Nova Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 977 mb located east of the Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:23 PM NDT 12 October 2026 An intensifying low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will move
eastward this evening to lie east of the marine district tonight.
Strong to gale force southwesterlies south of the low will shift to
strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

A second intensifying low pressure system approaching from the
southwest will cross the Southern Grand Banks tonight before moving
off to the east on Tuesday. Gale force southwesterlies can be
expected just south of this low while gale force northerlies to
northwesterlies can be expected in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and
south, Belle Isle Bank, and the Grand Banks.
