Issued 3:30 AM NST 20 January 2021 Today At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 968 mb located over Funk Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 984 mb located over central Labrador
Coast.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 1012 mb located off the East Coast of
the U.S.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 972 mb located south of Laurentian
Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:31 AM NST 20 January 2021 A low pressure system over the Funk Island Bank will move to lie over
Belle Isle Bank this afternoon then track northwestwards towards the
Labrador coast tonight. Strong to gale force east or northeasterlies
ahead of the low will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its
wake.

Meanwhile, a second intensifying low pressure will develop off the
Eastern Seaboard today and track across the Grand Banks on Thursday.
Gale to storm force east to northeasterly winds will develop ahead of
the low and shift to gale to storm force west to northwesterlies in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for Strait of Belle Isle
- eastern half, South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk
Island Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, and Belle Isle Bank - southwestern half.
