Rain or snow changing to flurries this evening and ending Friday morning. Visibility as low as 1 mile in precipitation.

Issued 3:30 PM NST 15 November 2018 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 949 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday departing low 966 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located west of the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday ridge located over Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. NST Friday approaching low 988 mb located over
Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:30 PM NST 15 November 2018 A powerful low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will move to
lie south of Greenland overnight. Storm to hurricane force west to
northwesterlies will gradually diminish to gale to storm force
tonight. Winds will diminish to moderate northwesterlies over western
waters overnight and elsewhere on Friday as the low moves further
away.

A second low approaching from the Maritimes late Friday will spread
gale force southeasterlies over southwestern waters Friday evening.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and
Southeastern Grand Banks. Storm warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except the Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, and South
Coast where gale warnings are in effect.

A freezing spray warning is in effect for the Strait of Belle Isle.

Marine interests are further advised that a high water level warning
is in effect for East Coast and Northeast Coast.
