Issued 3:00 AM NST 21 February 2024 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 965 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday approaching trough located south of
Nova Scotia.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday ridge located over the eastern Grand
Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM NST 21 February 2024 An intense low pressure system will remain quasi-stationary southeast
of Greenland today before moving eastward tonight. Strong to gale
force westerlies over most waters behind the low will diminish by
tonight as a ridge approaches.

A trough of low pressure is expected to approach from the southwest
and cross southern waters late on Thursday. Strong to gale force
southerlies are expected south of the trough Thursday evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle and the Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
