Issued 10:00 AM NDT 22 October 2020 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 1008 mb located over the Great Northern
Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday departing low 986 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday approaching ridge located over Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:53 AM NDT 22 October 2020 A low pressure system over the Great Northern Peninsula will track
across Funk Island Bank this afternoon before departing to the east
of the marine district tonight. Strong to gale force westerlies will
develop south of the low this afternoon. Winds will diminish on
Friday as the low moves away and a ridge approaches from the west.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank.

At 9:30 A.M. NDT, hurricane epsilon was located near latitude 30.6
north and longitude 61.3 west, about 205 nautical miles
east-southeast of Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds were estimated at
85 knots and central pressure at 962 MB. Epsilon is moving northwest
at 6 knots.

Epsilon is expected to make a turn to the north then northeast on
Saturday and pass near or south of the Grand Banks on Sunday as a
hurricane or strong post-tropical storm.
