Issued 3:00 AM NST 20 January 2022 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1007 mb located over eastern Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday low 1002 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today weakening ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:44 AM NST 20 January 2022 A trough of low pressure east of the marine district will depart
further east this morning. Strong to gale force westerlies over
eastern waters will diminish this morning as it moves away.

A low pressure system approaching from the west will track over the
Gulf of St. Lawrence this morning and reach Belle Isle Bank by this
evening. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will develop ahead of
its track.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Northeast Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Northeast Gulf - southeastern half,
Southwest Coast, South Coast, and the Grand Banks.
