Issued 8:00 PM NST 19 January 2022 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located over Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 1005 mb located over Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 1006 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday weakening ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NST 19 January 2022 A trough of low pressure over Belle Isle Bank will move east of the
district tonight. Strong to gale force westerlies behind the trough
will diminish as it moves away.

On Thursday, a low pressure system approaching from the west will
track over the Gulf of St. Lawrence during the morning and reach
Belle Isle Bank by evening. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will
develop ahead of its track.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
