Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:50 AM NST 24 November 2017 A low pressure system located over the South Labrador Sea will
continue its northward track across the Labrador Sea today. Strong to
gale force southwesterlies will persist today as the low departs.
Winds are expected to diminish after a trough passes over northern
waters this evening and a ridge moves in tonight. Behind the ridge a
low pressure system approaching from Quebec will spread gale force
southerlies to western and northern waters on Saturday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, and the
Atlantic - Newfoundland Area
