Wind diminishing to variable 10 to 15 this afternoon then increasing to northeast 25 this evening. Wind diminishing to light overnight then increasing to southwest 15 to 20 Monday afternoon.
Rain changing to snow this evening and ending Monday morning. Fog patches forming early this morning and dissipating this evening.

By 3:00 a.m. NDT Monday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:01 AM NDT 8 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the St. Lawrence River will approachthe marine district today before lying over the Northeast Coast of
Newfoundland by Sunday night. Gale to storm force southwesterlies
will continue across the district today and tonight ahead of the
trough while strong to gale force westerlies to northwesterlies will
form Monday behind the trough.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
