At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located over Quebec.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday trough located on a line east-west over
southern Newfoundland.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday ridge located on a line north-south over
the eastern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:56 AM NDT 13 April 2026 A low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will slowly driftfurther out to sea today and tonight. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies in the wake of the low will gradually diminish
through the day today as the low departs and a ridge of high pressure
builds in from the west.
A second area of low pressure will approach the district from the
west today to lie over Southern Newfoundland by Tuesday morning.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies to southwesterlies will develop
over southern waters south of the low tonight.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Southwest Coast.
