Issued 10:00 AM NST 12 December 2019 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 973 mb located overeastern Labrador Sea.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the southeastern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing trough from low located southeast
of the Grand Banks.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located west of Anticosti Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing trough located over Funk Island
Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:50 AM NST 12 December 2019 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will causegale to storm force westerlies to persist over the Belle Isle Bank
through the forecast period.
A trough of low pressure over the Grand Banks will slowly track
eastward and exit the marine district later today. Gale force
southwesterlies can be expected ahead of the trough late this
morning.
A second trough of low pressure will cross the district today and
tonight. Strong to gale force westerlies are expected over most
waters to the south of and behind this feature.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Northeast Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
