By 10:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 980 mb located northeast of Funk
Island Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:52 AM NST 20 January 2018 A low pressure system over Quebec will track eastward across the
Great Northern Peninsula this evening and then move out to sea
overnight and Sunday. Strong to gale force westerlies will develop
over all waters in the wake of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and the Southern
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Grand Banks.
