Issued 3:00 AM NDT 1 April 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today intensifying low 997 mb located over theSt. Lawrence River.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 982 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM NDT 1 April 2025 A low pressure system over the St. Lawrence River will intensify asit tracks across the Quebec Lower North Shore today to lie over Belle
Isle Bank by Wednesday morning. Strong southeasterlies ahead of the
low will shift to strong to gale force southwest to northwesterlies
in its wake.
Storm to hurricane force northwesterlies will develop over Belle Isle
Bank on Wednesday afternoon as the low continues to intensify over
the South Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Northeast Gulf, East Coast - north of Cape
St. Francis, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
