By 10:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing trough located east of the
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:58 AM NDT 20 March 2019 A trough of low pressure over the North Labrador Coast will continue
across the Labrador Sea today to lie over Belle Isle Bank by tonight.
Over northern waters moderate to strong westerlies will increase to
strong to gale force southwesterlies ahead of the trough then shift
to strong to gale force northwesterlies behind it.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf and Belle Isle Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
