northeast-southwest over the northern Grand Banks.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary high located southeast of
the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:21 PM NDT 8 May 2025 A trough of low pressure over Gulf - Port au Port will continue tomove slowly eastward tonight. Strong southwesterlies can be expected
ahead of the trough, with strong to gale force northeasterlies in its
wake. Winds will diminish tonight as the trough begins to weaken.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Gulf - Port au Port -
northwestern half.
