At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 988 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday low 984 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:59 AM NDT 1 April 2023 A deep low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will continue eastof the marine district this morning. Strong to gale force northerly
winds over the Grand Banks will ease as the low departs.
An intensifying low pressure system over the Great Lakes will move
into the Gulf of St. Lawrence tonight and over Southeastern Labrador
on Sunday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will develop over all
waters ahead of this system and will shift to strong to gale force
west to southwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Gulf.
