Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 11 March 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary trough located northeast
of the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday approaching trough located near
Anticosti Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM NDT 11 March 2025 A trough of low pressure northeast of the marine district will remain
nearly stationary today and tonight before weakening on Wednesday.
Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure approaching from the west will
move to lie over Newfoundland tonight. Gale force northwesterlies
over Belle Isle Bank between these two features will diminish on
Wednesday as the trough weakens.

A second trough approaching from the west will move to lie over the
St. Lawrence River tonight before crossing Labrador on Wednesday.
Strong to gale force southerlies to westerlies will develop over Gulf
waters on Wednesday to the south of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Gulf waters and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half and
the Grand Banks.
