Wind southwest 30 knots increasing to west 35 this morning and to west 35 to 45 near noon with gusts to 60 from Jackson's Arm to Hare Bay. Wind becoming northwest 35 near midnight then diminishing to northwest 25 overnight. Wind diminishing to northwest 15 to 20 Thursday morning and to northwest 10 to 15 Thursday afternoon. Wind becoming light Thursday evening.

Flurries this afternoon and this evening.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water freezing spray over northern sections today. Freezing spray tonight and Thursday.

Temperatures zero falling to minus 10 to minus 5 this evening.

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 2 April 2025 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today intensifying low 980 mb located over Belle
Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 974 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:55 AM NDT 2 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the Belle Isle Bank will further
deepen as it moves northward and stalls over the South Labrador Sea
today. Winds will increase to strong to gale force southwest to
northwesterlies today in the wake of the low. Over extreme northern
waters, the northwesterlies will further increase to hurricane force
this evening. Winds will gradually diminish overnight tonight and
Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
