Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:59 AM NST 16 November 2018 Strong to gale force northwesterlies over eastern waters will
gradually diminish today as a ridge of high pressure moves in from
A low developing off the American East Coast will intensify as it
moves to lie over the Southwest Coast Saturday morning then just east
of Funk Island Bank in the evening. Gale force easterlies will
develop over most waters tonight and Saturday as the low approaches.
South of the track of the low winds will shift to gale to storm force
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast and the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle,
Northeast Gulf and Gulf - Port au Port.
