Issued 3:30 PM NDT 3 April 2025 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 988 mb located over eastern Labrador Sea.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 991 mb located northeast
of Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 995 mb located south of James Bay.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday low 1005 mb located over the southwestern
Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:29 PM NDT 3 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will
continue to track northwards tonight. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies over Belle Isle Bank will diminish this evening as
the low departs.

A second low approaching from the west will pass over Cape Breton
Island Friday morning before crossing the Grand Banks late in the
day. Strong to gale force northeast to southeasterlies are expected
to develop north of the low on Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and Southwestern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
