Issued 3:30 PM NST 20 January 2018 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 985 mb located near Anticosti Island.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday low 978 mb located northeast of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located east of Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:24 PM NST 20 January 2018 A low pressure system near Anticosti Island will track eastward
across the Great Northern Peninsula this evening and then move out to
sea overnight and Sunday. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of
the low will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Grand Banks.
