northeast-southwest over the southwestern Grand Banks.

Issued 9:49 AM NDT 8 September 2026 A low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will continuenortheastward today before departing out to sea tonight. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies are expected over northeastern waters in
its wake today and will diminish tonight.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
