Issued 10:00 AM NDT 8 September 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 993 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 994 mb located northeast
of the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line east-west over
the Southwest Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the southwestern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:49 AM NDT 8 September 2026 A low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will continue
northeastward today before departing out to sea tonight. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies are expected over northeastern waters in
its wake today and will diminish tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
