Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:53 AM NST 19 January 2018 A trough of low pressure ahead of an approaching low pressure system
south of the Laurentian Fan will cross the Grand Banks today. The low
will track northeastward across the Southern Grand Banks this
evening. Strong to gale force southwesterlies to the south of the
trough shift to strong northeasterlies to its north. Winds will shift
to gale force northerlies as the low moves across the district, then
diminish overnight as it departs.
