By 3:00 a.m. AST Friday low 972 mb located over Labrador.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Friday low 974 mb located over Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:42 PM AST 26 January 2023 An intense low pressure system over Anticosti Island will tracknortheastward across Labrador later tonight and into the Labrador Sea
Friday morning. Storm force southerlies ahead of the associated cold
front will diminish to strong to gale force southwesterlies in the
wake of the front.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, and Anticosti - eastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Cabot Strait - northern
half and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
