Issued 3:30 PM AST 22 February 2024 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 998 mb located south of West Scotian
Slope.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Friday trough from 992 mb low located over
Laurentian Fan extending northeastward.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located west of the Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Laurentian Fan.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Friday approaching trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:14 PM AST 22 February 2024 Strong to gale force easterly to northeasterly winds have developed
over southern waters between a ridge of high pressure over the Gulf
of St. Lawrence and a low pressure system south of West Scotian
Slope. The low will move through southeastern waters tonight with
strong northwesterlies diminishing in its wake. Another trough of low
pressure will approach the district on Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, and Laurentian
Fan.
