Issued 3:00 AM AST 15 January 2025 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 994 mb located over Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 984 mb located east of the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located from Quebec to the Great
Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:28 AM AST 15 January 2025 A low pressure system over Laurentian Fan will continue to track
eastward today to lie east of the Grand Banks this evening. Strong to
gale force west to northerly winds in the wake of this system will
gradually diminish today as it moves further away from the marine
district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank and West Scotian Slope - southwestern half.
