Issued 8:00 PM AST 16 December 2018 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located from the Gulf of St. Lawrence
to Laurentian Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Monday departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight deepening low 1002 mb located south of
Long Island.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Monday low 987 mb located south of Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM AST 16 December 2018 A low pressure system south of Long Island this evening will
redevelop south of Nova Scotia on Monday. Strong to gale force
easterly winds will spread ahead of this system across much of the
district tonight and Monday. Strong to gale force westerlies will
develop in its wake over the southern slope waters late in the day
Monday. These westerly gales will likely spread to the remainder of
the district on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.
