At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 996 mb located near Anticosti Island.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 996 mb located over the South
Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over the coast of Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT today dissipating ridge located off Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:47 AM NDT 12 March 2025 A trough of low pressure over the Central Labrador Sea will remainnearly stationary and weaken today. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies will persist east of the trough while strong to gale
force northwesterlies to its west will diminish today as the trough
weakens.
A low pressure system will approach from the southwest today and
track into the Labrador Sea tonight. Strong to gale force south to
southeasterlies over the East Labrador Sea will shift to strong to
gale force southerlies to westerlies on Thursday before diminishing
Thursday evening.
Marine interests are advised a gale warning is in effect for East
Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
