Issued 9:30 AM NST 17 January 2022 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight low 983 mb located near the St. Lawrence
River.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Tuesday low 983 mb located near Lake Melville.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough from low located on a line
north-south over northern Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Tuesday trough from low located on a line
north-south over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:29 AM NST 17 January 2022 A low pressure system approaching from the southwest today and
tonight will lie near Lake Melville by Tuesday evening. A trough
extending northward from the low will move eastward across Northern
Quebec tonight to lie over the Labrador Sea by Tuesday evening.
Gale force southeasterlies will spread across the district on Tuesday
ahead of the trough then shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador
Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
