Wind northwest 45 to 55 knots except northwest 55 to 65 over southeastern sections late this afternoon and this evening. Wind becoming northwest 35 to 45 late overnight then diminishing to northwest 25 to 35 Thursday morning. Wind diminishing to northwest 15 to 20 Thursday afternoon and to light Thursday evening.

Snow ending this evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow.

Risk of freezing spray late this afternoon tonight and Thursday.

Temperatures minus 9 falling to minus 14 overnight.

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 2 April 2025 Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today intensifying low 972 mb located over the
South Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday low 989 mb located east of the East
Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday building ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:52 PM NDT 2 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will
remain nearly stationary tonight, then gradually track northwards on
Thursday. Storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies this
evening will diminish to strong to gale force northwesterlies
overnight and on Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
