Wind north 35 to 45 knots except north 30 over southern sections early this morning. Wind becoming northwest 45 to 55 this morning except northwest 55 to 65 over southeastern sections this evening. Wind becoming northwest 35 to 45 late overnight then diminishing to northwest 25 to 35 Thursday morning. Wind diminishing to northwest 15 to 20 Thursday afternoon.

Snow ending this evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow.

Risk of freezing spray.

Temperatures minus 4 falling to minus 14 this evening.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 2 April 2025 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today intensifying low 980 mb located over Belle
Isle Bank.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 974 mb located southeast of the East
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 AM NDT 2 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the Belle Isle Bank will further
deepen as it moves northward and stalls over the South Labrador Sea
today. Strong to gale force east to northeasterlies ahead of the low
will increase to storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies
today. Winds will diminish to strong to gale force northwesterlies
overnight and on Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
