By 9:30 a.m. NDT Thursday low 982 mb located southeast of the East
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:09 AM NDT 2 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea willremain nearly stationary today, then gradually track northwards on
Thursday. Strong to gale force east to northeasterlies ahead of the
low will increase to storm to hurricane force north to
northwesterlies today. Winds will diminish to strong to gale force
northwesterlies overnight and on Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
