Issued 9:30 AM NST 8 December 2023 Today Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 940 mb located eastof Belle Isle Bank.
At 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching ridge located from Ungava
Bay to New England.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:27 AM NST 8 December 2023 A low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will remainquasi-stationary southeast of the marine district throughout the
forecast period. Gale to storm force northeast to northwesterly winds
will diminish to strong to gale force this afternoon. Winds over most
waters will diminish further on Saturday as a ridge begins to build
in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Mid Labrador Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except East Labrador Sea - northwestern half.
