Wind light increasing to northeast 15 to 20 knots near noon and to northeast 25 this evening. Wind increasing to north 35 to 45 near midnight except north 30 over southern sections overnight. Wind becoming northwest 45 to 55 Wednesday morning except northwest 55 to 65 over southeastern sections Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Snow this afternoon tonight and Wednesday. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow.

Risk of freezing spray tonight and Wednesday.

Temperatures minus 15 rising to minus 11 to minus 3 this afternoon then falling to minus 13 Wednesday evening.

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 1 April 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today intensifying low 997 mb located over the
St. Lawrence River.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 982 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located from Ungava Bay to Belle
Isle Bank.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today dissipating ridge located over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:52 AM NDT 1 April 2025 A low pressure system over the St. Lawrence River will intensify as
it tracks across the Quebec Lower North Shore to lie over Belle Isle
Bank on Wednesday morning. Strong to gale force east to
northeasterlies will develop ahead of the low this evening and
strengthen to storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies as
the low intensifies over the South Labrador Sea on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
