northwest-southeast over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today Tropical Storm Bertha 1009 mb located at
32.7N 79.4W.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Thursday tropical depression Bertha located at
35.8N 81.0W.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today low 1000 mb located over northern Ontario.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Thursday low 1010 mb located north of Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today quasi-stationary ridge located southeast
of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:46 AM ADT 27 May 2020 Tropical information statement.

As of 10:00 A.M. ADT on Wednesday, newly-formed tropical storm Bertha
is located near latitude 32.7 north, longitude 79.4 west, or about 30
nautical miles east-southeast of Charleston, South Carolina. Bertha
is moving towards the northwest at about 8 knots and has maximum
sustained winds of 40 knots. Bertha is expected to weaken to a
tropical depression after moving inland over South Carolina later
today and is currently not expected to affect the marine district.
