Issued 3:00 AM AST 29 February 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. AST today cold front located from Quebec to the Gulf
of Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight cold front located east of the Marine
District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located near the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday ridge located over the southwestern Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:39 AM AST 29 February 2024 An intense cold front extending from a low over Quebec will move
eastward across the marine district today. Gale force southerly winds
ahead of the front will shift to gale force westerlies in its wake.
These westerlies are forecast to reach storm force over the Bay of
Chaleur later this morning for a few hours.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Chaleur-Miscou. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East
Scotian Slope, and Laurentian Fan.
