Issued 8:00 PM AST 5 December 2024 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight intensifying low 989 mb located over
New Brunswick.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Friday low 977 mb located over Anticosti Island.

At 3:30 p.m. AST Friday low 967 mb located over Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:29 PM AST 5 December 2024 A low pressure system will rapidly intensify as it crosses the
Maritimes tonight. Gale to storm force southerly winds ahead of the
low will veer to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, East Scotian
Slope - eastern half, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot
Strait, and Gulf-Magdalen - eastern half. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters except Fundy.

Marine interests are also advised that a high water level warning for
Chaleur - Miscou - western half has ended. Freezing spray warnings
are in effect for Northumberland Strait - western half,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
