Issued 3:00 AM ADT 23 October 2018 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today trough located from Labrador to the
St. Lawrence River.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT today trough located from Labrador Sea to
Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today low 1012 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight deepening low 1010 mb located near
Cape Cod.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:00 AM ADT 23 October 2018 A low pressure system will approach the district from the west today
reaching Cape Cod by this evening. The disturbance will then start to
intensify before tracking northeastward this evening. There remains
some uncertainty over the exact track and intensity of this system.
Current model guidance suggests it will track over Nova Scotia
Wednesday evening. Strong to gale force southeast to northeast winds
will develop ahead of this system with strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Chaleur-Miscou, Gulf-Magdalen, and Anticosti.
