Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:25 PM AST 22 November 2017 A low pressure system east of Cape Hatteras will track northeastward
tonight. The low will intensify as it tracks south of Halifax
overnight and across Cape Breton into Cabot Strait Thursday morning.
Gale to storm force southerlies will develop ahead of this low then
quickly shift to gale to storm gale force northwesterlies behind it.
These northwesterlies will diminish over all but northeasternmost
waters by late in the day Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian
Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau - northwestern half, Cabot Strait and
Gulf-Magdalen - eastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
