Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:24 PM NST 19 January 2021 A trough of low pressure over the Northwest Labrador Sea will remain
nearly stationary today before moving slowly westwards towards the
Labrador coast Wednesday as a low pressure system approaches from the
south. Gale to storm force east to southeasterlies are forecast to
the east of this trough, while strong to gale force northwesterlies
will develop to its west on Wednesday.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador
Sea, and Northwest Labrador Sea - southwestern half.
