Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NST 6 November 2025 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary trough located on a line
east-west over the South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:17 PM NST 6 November 2025 An east-west trough of low pressure will stall over the South
Labrador Sea tonight and Friday. Gale to storm force northeasterlies
will persist north of the trough while strong to gale force
northwesterlies will persist to its south and west.

Large waves and pounding surf will produce higher than normal water
levels along the coast until Saturday, especially near high tides.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea - northern half, and
Northwest Labrador Sea - southern half.

Marine interests are also advised that a high water level warning is
in effect for Mid Labrador Coast - north of Hopedale.
