Issued 4:00 AM NST 11 December 2019 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 976 mb located over the SouthLabrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 970 mb located over
the East Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:47 AM NST 11 December 2019 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will move eastwardto lie over the East Labrador Sea later this morning where it will
remain nearly stationary through the remainder of the forecast.
Strong to gale force easterlies north of the low and strong to gale
force southwesterlies south of the low will shift to gale to storm
force west to northwesterlies in its wake by this evening.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea,
Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea - southern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
