At 9:30 a.m. NST today deepening low located south of Greenland.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 994 mb located over
the East Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located from the Torngat Mountains
to New England.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located east of Labrador
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:11 AM NST 8 December 2019 A trough of low pressure over the South Labrador Coast at forecast
time will slowly drift southeastwards today. Strong to gale force
north to northwesterlies can be expected over southern waters today
as the trough passes.
Meanwhile, a developing low pressure system south of Greenland will
move westward to lie over the East Labrador Sea by this afternoon.
Gale force northerlies to westerlies can be expected in the vicinity
of the low today.
Gale force westerlies will also develop over extreme northwestern
waters on Monday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Sea.
