At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the East Coast of the U.S.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Thursday trough located on a line north-south
over the Maritimes.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located southeast
of Funk Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:54 AM NDT 22 July 2026 A trough of low pressure oriented east-west over the Maritimes willcontinue moving northeastward through the Gulf of St. Lawrence today
to lie over the South Labrador Sea by Thursday morning. Strong to
gale force southeasterlies will develop over most waters ahead of the
trough today. Winds will diminish to moderate to strong
southwesterlies in the wake of the trough tonight.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Gulf-Port au Port.
