Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NST 12 November 2019 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located north of
Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1008 mb located over New England.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday deepening low 992 mb located over
Anticosti Island.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located on a line east-west
over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM NST 12 November 2019 A weakening trough of low pressure north of the Labrador Sea will
cause strong to gale force westerlies over the Belle Isle Bank to
persist into this afternoon.

A second low will approach from the southwest today to lie over
Anticosti Island by tonight. Strong to gale force east to
northeasterly winds will develop today over the Gulf waters ahead of
the low. Otherwise, strong to gale force southerly winds will develop
over southern waters this afternoon and spread elsewhere throughout
the forecast period. Winds will begin to shift to gale force west to
southwesterlies over the Gulf waters late on Wednesday in the wake of
the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
