Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:28 PM NST 8 February 2026 A trough of low pressure over the South Labrador Coast will movesouthward to lie over the Strait of Belle Isle tonight, and continue
southward over Newfoundland on Monday. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies will develop to the north of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.
