northeast-southwest over the eastern Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 996 mb located over northern Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 992 mb located over Labrador Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Funk Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located southeast of the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:55 AM NDT 16 September 2026 A low pressure system over Northern Quebec will track eastward across
Labrador Sea tonight and Thursday. Strong southwesterly winds ahead
of the low will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies over
northern waters in its wake on Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank.
