Issued 10:00 AM NST 7 February 2023 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwestover the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located south of the Marine
District.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 981 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 984 mb located south of the Grand
Banks.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:01 AM NST 7 February 2023 A trough of low pressure over the Grand Banks will move south of themarine district later today. Strong to gale force northeasterlies are
expected north of the trough with strong to gale force southerlies
south of it.
A low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will pass just southeast
of the Grand Banks on Wednesday. Over southern and eastern waters
strong to gale force northeasterlies and southerlies ahead of the
system shift to strong to gale force westerlies as it passes.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island
Bank, and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Southwest Coast - west of Ramea, East Coast -
north of Cape St. Francis, and Belle Isle Bank.
