At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:45 PM NST 15 January 2025 A deepening low pressure system over the Southeastern Grand Bankswill move to lie east of the Grand Banks overnight tonight. Gale to
storm force northeasterly to northwesterly winds will spread across
eastern waters tonight and Thursday in the wake of the low.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks. A gale warning is
in effect for Funk Island Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half.
