Issued 3:30 PM NST 12 December 2019 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 973 mb located overeastern Labrador Sea.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located over Gulf - Port au Port.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing trough located over Funk Island
Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:20 PM NST 12 December 2019 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will causegale to storm force westerlies to persist over the Belle Isle Bank
through the forecast period.
Meanwhile, a fast-moving trough of low pressure over Gulf - Port au
Port will move to lie east of the district by Friday morning. Strong
to gale force westerlies are expected over all waters to the south of
and behind this feature.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
